Welcome fellow classmates!

The Class of January, 1967 will be celebrating fifty years since we left the hallowed halls of Cleveland Heights High School.  Mark your calendars for the weekend of July 21-22, 2017.  Our reunion committee has been working hard to make this a fun filled and enjoyable gathering.  Let’s plan to get together again to share memories, and to make new ones.

Our website will enable us to keep track of each other, and to help locate those who we have lost track of!  Please check in often to see updates as they are posted regarding classmate profiles, reunion news and announcements.  Click on First Time Visitors and follow the prompts.  You will need to enter a password to get to your page. Once there, complete the profile form, add pictures, videos, memorabilia, anything you would like.  If you have any questions or comments, please hit the contact us link.

Arrangements for hotel accomodations at Hyatt Place Legacy Village are detailed in the announcement section below.

We look forward to a fabulous weekend, and hope to hear that you will be joining us!

November 16, 2019

Dear Classmates,

On September 13-14, 2019, classmates, spouses, and family members gathered in San Diego to celebrate our 70th birthdays.  Some had attended most, if not all the reunions and birthday parties.  Some hadn’t seen each other since high school graduation over fifty-two years ago.  Steve Sutta made the biggest effort to attend. He drove 350 miles Thursday night from San Diego up the valley to Fresno for a Friday morning meeting, then 350 miles back for Friday dinner.  Marsha and Sherwin Yoffe came the farthest distance from Baltimore, MD.  Alan Rapaport was the Cleveland representative.

We began the weekend with a two-hour afternoon cruise of San Diego Harbor, one of the best  natural harbors on the West Coast.  We had cocktails and dinner at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse on Harbor Island across from the airport.  There was a clear view of the downtown skyline.  As the sun set, we watched the lights of the planes coming in over the bay.

Saturday began with a four-hour private tour of San Diego.  We stopped at the La Jolla Children’s Pool, away from the Cove where the sea lions reside.  We went to the top of Mt. Soledad to enjoy a 360 degree view of the city, including Mexico to the south and Dana Point to the north.  We saw the War Memorial with plaques of many who served in the military.  We stopped for a picnic-style lunch on the Prado in Balboa Park, home to the 1913-14 World Exhibition.  The final stop was Coronado Island and the famous Hotel del Coronado where the movie “Some Like It Hot” was filmed.  Royalty and almost every serving U.S. president since Theodore Roosevelt have stopped at this famous Victorian hotel.   Saturday evening we enjoyed a delicious catered dinner at the home of Keith and Marguerite Walker.

Over the two days we reminisced and talked about life and family since Heights High.  We got to meet and get to know spouses, apologizing to them for all the unfamiliar names and stories from years ago.  We remembered fondly those who are no longer with us and those with whom we have lost touch.

We enjoyed the weekend so much that we decided not to wait for our 75th birthdays, but to get together in another couple years.  Las Vegas is the likely destination.  Please pass the word to our fellow classmates.

Jill Diamond has posted some pictures of the weekend on her Facebook page.

Keith and Marguerite Walker

7/24/17:  It's a Wrap!

Congratulations to the Class of January, 1967 on our fantastic 50th Reunion weekend. Our committee worked so hard to make it memorable. Friday night we had a delicious cookout meal at the Cleveland Racquet Club and were entertained by the fabulous "Pop Tarts". Saturday afternoon a group of us enjoyed a private Lolly the Trolley tour of Cleveland. Saturday night we came together over 90 strong at a private home to talk, laugh and reminisce. What fun we had when an ice cream truck pulled up, music blaring, to serve us our favorite ice cream treats! Sunday afternoon we sat in great club seats at Progressive Field to see the Indians clobber the Toronto Blue Jays. Just so we don't forget our friends and experiences at Heights we have our terrific Memory Book to read.....over and over! To see pictures and videos of the weekend we have created a special group room within Shutterfly.com. You can also upload your reunion photos/videos here as well to share with everyone.
